What we collect, and what we do with it

We do not sell personal data. Here is the whole list of what an account stores:

• Your email address. Used for sign-in links, service notices, and the alerts you opt into.
• A password, stored only as a one-way hash. We cannot read it.
• Your display name, if you choose one. This one is public. It appears beside your record on the members leaderboard, where other members can see it. Pick a name you are comfortable showing.
• The picks you flag. When you tap a play we store which side you took, the number on the board when you tapped it, the time, and later the graded result. This is what makes your record and the leaderboard work. It is a record of the sides you chose, so we are naming it plainly rather than burying it.
• Sign-in and delivery records. Login tokens, rate-limit counters, and a log of emails we attempted to send you, which is how we detect bounces and stop mailing an address that rejects us.
• Your acknowledgment of the rules, with a timestamp and a fingerprint of the exact text you were shown.

Who else processes it. Cloudflare hosts the site and the database. Stripe processes payments; we never see or store your card number. Resend delivers our email. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.

How long we keep it. Account data lives as long as your account does. Delivery and sign-in logs are operational records and are pruned as they age.

Getting it deleted. Sign in and use Delete your account on your account page. It removes your account, your sign-in history and any picks you have flagged, and it cancels your subscription first so you are not billed again. You can also email us at the address below and ask, and we will do it for you.

Two things outlive the deletion, on purpose. Billing records that Stripe or the law require us to retain are the one exception we cannot remove, and we will tell you if that applies to you. And if your address is already on our do-not-email list, it stays there, so that deleting your account never starts the email again.

Email you can turn off

Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing stops the mail and nothing else: your sign-in keeps working, because email is how you sign in.
